Innovation subsidy for Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard
9-06-200919 Dutch aviation companies have submitted a proposal to SenterNovem in early 2009 for an innovation project in which the companies are mutually developing numerous technical and process innovations in Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO). The Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard acts as the coordinator of the project and serves as a collective identifier in the international marketplace. The group of participants consists of companies housed at AviationValley Businesspark as well as other Dutch companies and educational institutes.
SenterNovem has approved the proposal and will award a EUR 1 million subsidy.
One of the main goals of the Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard is establishing a One Stop Shop for aircraft MRO and maintenance of the composite material which are increasingly used as aircraft parts. The initiative was initiated by the Netherlands Aerospace Group, the Limburg development Agency LIOF, Maastricht Aachen Airport and Dutch companies active in the field of MRO
